KC Robotics Team Triumphs

Members of the KC Robotics Team were part of the winning alliance at the FIRST Robotics Competition in Reidsville, NC on November 1st. There were 22 teams at the competition. Robotics competitions not only challenge students to design, program, and operate robots, but also their ability for problem solving, team building, and strategy.  Nine members of the KC Robotics team participated in the competition. Team members included McKinley Levister, Jarrod Skrabak, Jordan Miller, and Savanna Adams from LEHS; Ethan Welch, Sydney Conto, and Sarah Grace Wohlwinder from CHS; and Spencer Robinson and Will Ramsby from Camden Military Academy.

“Mini Knights” And “Redskins

I am excited that youth football is growing in the North Central area. This year, 32 young men played for the “Mini Knights” and the “Redskins.” Great to see, especially given how difficult it is to get elementary kids in the North Central area together because the schools are so spread out. Kudos to Coach Louis Clyburn, the Parks and Recreation Department, and everyone else involved in making this happen. Hopefully, you’ll see these guys playing on Friday night in the future!
