Over The Weekend

Congratulations to wrestlers Seth Ham and Noah North from Lugoff-Elgin High School who won individual state championships this past Saturday in the always-tough 4A competition!

Congratulations also to the students who were recognized for their Black History Month projects on Sunday at the annual Heritage Tea at the Fine Arts Center.  The performance by the Camden High Gospel Choir made it an extra special event!

Celebrating the Arts!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks to the many people involved in putting together yesterday evening’s “Celebrating the Arts” program.  The visual arts work displayed was superb and the music and dance was equally as excellent!  I especially enjoyed the performance of the combined choirs at the end of the program doing a medley of songs from “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.”  It was really cool to see elementary, middle, and high school kids singing together!  A big night!  I know the huge audience of family and friends the enjoyed it all enormously!
