Next Facilities Meetings

The School Board will hold the next two in its series of facilities meetings on Thursday evening, October 1 at 6:30 p.m. at Stover Middle and Wateree Elementary.  We hope citizens will continue to take advantage of these opportunities to share ideas and opinions about school facility needs.

Bulldogs Recognized

Congratulations to William Cobb, Jarquis Jenkins, Christian Flick, and Ben Hayes from Camden High, who were recognized by the State newspaper for their defensive performances during the Bulldogs’ win over Lakewood last Friday.

Facilities Meetings Continue

Meetings being conducted by the School Board to hear recommendations and opinions from the public about the facility needs of our district will continue on Tuesday evening at 6:30 p.m. at Lugoff Elementary and Doby’s Mill Elementary.  I hope many community members will take advantage of this opportunity to discuss this very important topic.

County Council Chairman Speaks To ATEC Faculty

I appreciated Kershaw County Council Chairman Julian Burns taking time yesterday to speak to the ATEC faculty about his vision for Kershaw County and how important ATEC is to economic development in our community.  I look forward to our District being a more active partner in Kershaw County’s economic development efforts.
