LEHS Marching Pride

I was honored to be able to watch the LEHS Marching Band do one of its final run-throughs before the State Championships this coming Saturday.  The show is innovative and imaginative and features strong musicianship and marching – what band are all about..  What I really love about the show is that the music comes from Tchaikovsky…I’ve never heard the 1812 Overture used in a band show.  The kids have worked hard since the hot days in August and I know they will do a fantastic job on Saturday!

North-South All Stars

A big shout-out to Cedrick Cunningham from North Central, Adam Rowson from Lugoff-Elgin, Devin Beckley from Camden, and JoJo Watson from Camden, who have been selected to play in the North-South All Star game!

Champions!!!!

I am extremely proud of the fact that all three of our volleyball teams won their respective regions.  This is no small task in this day and time.  Congratulations!!!

All schools on regular schedule for Thur

All schools on regular schedule for Thursday, October 6
All KCSD Schools will operate on a normal schedule tomorrow, Thursday, October 6. Gov. Nikki Haley has closed several of our neighboring school districts in order to use their facilities for persons who are being evacuated from the coast, but as of now, this is not impacting tomorrow’s schedule for our schools. We will continue to monitor the weather conditions and work closely with emergency preparedness officials to ensure the safety of our students and staff. If we do have to make a change in our schedule, we will let you know. http://ow.ly/i/nGZLA
