Big congratulations to Camden Middle School sixth grader Amari Williams, who recently won the National Class II American Legion Essay Contest. His essay was on the theme of “What Freedom Means to My Family.” Senator Lindsey Graham had Amari’s essay published in the May 22 Congressional Record. Amari is a special young man. Three years ago, he had a heart transplant. He’s now making the most of every opportunity. Great job! Kudos also to the teachers who have helped Amari develop his writing over his years in school!
