Heritage Tea

One of the events I most look forward to during the school year is the annual Heritage Tea, sponsored by the Multi-Cultural Committee of the Kershaw County Fine Arts Center.  This event is a celebration of community unity and an opportunity to recognize students for excellent work on Black History Month projects.  (The projects this year were better than ever!!)  The Lugoff Elementary Choir, the Jackson School Choir, and the Kershaw County Show Choir did a fantastic job with inspiring music.  Making the event even more special was the presence of world-renowned topiary artist Pearl Fryar, who lives in Bishopville.  Mr. Fryar was there to meet the students who did projects about him, a very gracious gesture.  Special kudos to Ms. Dionne Hough for her leadership of this wonderful event!
